Digital payments leader PhonePe has partnered with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT across its ecosystem, giving millions of Indian users direct access to the popular AI chatbot. The collaboration covers the PhonePe app, PhonePe for Business, and the Indus Appstore, expanding the reach of generative AI in the country.
Through this partnership, users can access ChatGPT’s capabilities seamlessly within PhonePe’s interface to get AI-powered help with daily needs, including travel plans, shopping assistance, and quick information searches. This marks one of India’s earliest and most extensive efforts to bring generative AI to a mainstream consumer platform.
Rahul Chari, Founder and CTO of PhonePe, said the integration highlights the company’s commitment to making advanced technologies accessible at scale. He emphasized that partnerships like this can democratize innovation and redefine digital experiences for everyday users.
