NSDC Collaborates with Blinkit, Apna and Quess Corp to Boost Employment
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), operating under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), revealed the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Blinkit, Apna, and Quess Corp. These agreements are geared toward fostering employment opportunities and advancing skill development initiatives in the nation. The collaborations target the establishment of a skilled workforce accessible to various industries, each playing a role in different sectors of the economy.
Apna and Quess Corp are set to integrate their job platforms with Skill India Digital through SSO, while the partnership with Blinkit will involve jointly creating curricula and training the workforce for roles within the emerging quick-commerce Industry and its warehouse job functions. Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD of NSDC International, remarked, "Through collaborations with private enterprises, NSDC develops and executes training programs that equip individuals with the requisite skills demanded by the evolving job market."
"The organization's commitment to driving skill development has a cascading effect, positively influencing economic growth and enhancing the employability of millions across diverse sectors in India", he added. The collaboration with Blinkit will also focus on recruitment of candidates, capable of making immediate contributions to the identified job role in the quick commerce segment. In addition, Quess will support NSDC in mobilizing employers to engage in Job Fairs, while Apna will provide industry insights to NSDC and aid in conducting surveys with key employers.
