In a significant move to deepen technology collaboration between India and the United States, Nasscom has launched the US CEO Forum, a dedicated leadership platform aimed at reinforcing the bilateral tech corridor as a foundation for global digital transformation and inclusive economic growth. The Forum was officially launched last week at the Consulate General of India in New York, marking a major milestone in Indo-US tech diplomacy.
Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar has been appointed as the Chair of the Forum, with Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director of L&T Technology Services, taking on the role of Co-Chair. The forum aims to bring together top Indian tech CEOs and key U.S. stakeholders to foster strategic dialogue across domains such as innovation, policy, enterprise collaboration, and talent development.
“Conceived as a premier leadership platform, the Nasscom US CEO Forum aims to advance the technology and innovation partnership between India and the United States, one of the world’s most forward-looking bilateral relationships”, Nasscom said in a statement. The initiative is positioned as a strategic enabler to help both nations navigate the evolving global tech landscape particularly in critical areas like AI, semiconductors, clean tech, and future skills.
The launch was praised by the Indian Consulate in New York, which posted on X that the Forum is a “strategic platform to strengthen cross-border technology collaboration reaffirming India’s position as a trusted technology & innovation partner”. Consul General Binaya Pradhan called the forum 'timely' and said it has the potential to act as a force multiplier for India-US tech partnerships and the future of global innovation and talent.
Speaking at the launch event, Nasscom President Rajesh Nambiar emphasized that the forum provides an opportunity to align with key stakeholders and explore new frontiers in talent, investment, and innovation. “As both nations look to shape a future driven by technology and shared values, the Forum aims to strengthen connections that generate lasting impact across economies, communities, and global markets”, he said.
The forum also supports the broader vision of Mission USD 500 Billion, an initiative proposed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s and former President Donald Trump’s tenure, which aims to double bilateral trade to USD 500 billion by 2030. Nasscom highlighted that through strategic dialogue, policy engagement, and thought leadership, the US CEO Forum will serve as a sustained platform to advance this goal.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, present at the event, reaffirmed the city’s commitment to partnering with India’s thriving innovation ecosystem. Dilip Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner from the Mayor's Office of International Affairs, also lauded India’s tech community, stating that it continues to play a crucial role in driving global digital transformation while creating jobs and investing significantly in the U.S., especially in NYC.
Chair Ravi Kumar underlined the importance of the forum in the age of disruptive technology. “We are at the cusp of a new tech era driven by AI and deep tech, and this Forum will act as a vital bridge to navigate that transformation and unlock shared opportunities”, he said.
The forum’s agenda includes transitioning the India-US partnership from mere collaboration to co-creation, with a focus on building resilient, secure, and innovation-led digital ecosystems. The launch event served as a convergence point for leaders from the tech, policy, and industrial ecosystems, reinforcing the shared commitment to harness technology for global progress.
