8. Shubhalakshmi Panse

She is the first woman to lead India’s oldest bank, Allahabad Bank. Shubhalakshmi Panse was not always inclined towards banking and started her career as a doctorate in embryology at Pune University. After qualifying the exam for Bank of Maharashtra, she never looked back and her career took a flight. She was the executive director at Vijaya Bank and later joined Allahabad Bank as its head.

9. Savita Mahajan

This dynamic person is remembered as "very bright, very professional" by her former employer, R.C. Bhargava, Chairman of Maruti Suzuki. Savita Mahajan has graduated from IIM Ahmedabad and joined Maruti Udyog. Because of her expertise in strategy and organizational development, she was approached to extend her knowledge for establishing Mohali ISB. She has been a part of the management school since its inception in 2001 and is the Deputy Dean of ISB and former CEO of the Mohali campus.

10. Sumithra Gomatam

Sumithra Goma is Senior Vice President at Cognizant Technology Solutions. Under her guidance, the company’s software testing practice has seen a boom from about 800 people in 2004 to over 23,000. She is also responsible for business units like retail, insurance, life insurance and others that together account for half of the $7 billion revenues of the company.
