Highest Paid Indian CEOs


Bangalore: As Dorothy Parker said, “If you want to see what God thinks of money, just look at all the people He gave it to.” There a few CEOs who have really made it big in recent times. For some, salary is measure of their success. Recently the boss of Genpact, Tiger Tyagarajan is declared as the highest paid CEO in India’s IT services and BPO industry for the last fiscal year (2011). ‘Tiger’ NV Taygarajan, Genpact

With a pay package totaling $8.8 million, or 49 crore, Tyagarajan, the boss of Genpact is the highest-paid Chief Executive in India's IT services and BPO industry in 2011. Populary known as ‘Tiger’ among the peers had a four-fold increment in his total compensation after he got promoted from Chief Operating Officer nearly a year ago. Tyagarajan's pay includes a bonus of $1.3 million, share awards worth $5.2 million and options worth $1.5 million. Besides, 'other compensation' worth $110,000 was also awarded, including $17,000 for the CEO's 'automobile and driver', and an equal amount for his relocation to the U.S.
