They often follow unconventional ways, striving for modernization and they have early successes to show this approach can pay off.

Many of these philanthropists are recipients of the information uprising and the technology-driven economic incorporations that accompanied it. They want to see globalization’s benefits more evenly shared and its hazard mitigated.
