BENGALURU: Flipkart, which is the leading E-commerce firm in India, is in news once again, for its new step into the offline segment to reach out to those customers, who are still into the offline shopping though they are aware of the E-commerce, as reported by the The Financial Express.
Flipkart, which hinted its entry to offline market lately, is finally out with blueprint of its plan and as confirmed by the company, it is tied up with the Spice Retail and will soon set up touch and feel zones at the outlets. Wherein the demo phones are showcased and customers can have direct interaction with customer support executives for quires related to the phones.
By taking the demand of smart phones in the online sector in the account, the company has initiated the project by introducing only mobile phone in the offline sector as well. Relatively, mobile phones make 65 percent of the overall sales in the flipkart and the project is mainly intended to target the town population, who are still out of the online shopping.
Interested customers can walk into Spice outlets and order a mobile phone through the respective retail store and the executives will guide the customers in choosing the right phone according to their preference. The customers shall opt the location of the delivery, the order can be received either at the door step or can be collected at the rectal store.
