BENGALURU: Apple phones may not have huge discounts anymore as the company plans to revise the pricing strategy in India. Awaiting the consent to open Apple stores in India, the Cupertino-based firm is quite certain about online discounts on their products to bring similarities in the online and offline trade. Big discounts on the iPhones have already been under control from past one month, reports TOI.
"As Apple expects its FDI (foreign direct investment) application will receive approval shortly, it wants to bring back pricing hygiene across online and offline so that it can draw customers to its own stores and make them a viable revenue generator," one of the executives close to the matter said.
Apparently, the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook mentions with the analysis that the well off middle class young population want to own best consumer products. Besides this he also adds that good financial growth with the government’s support and drive towards monetary improvements have supported the store set up decision.
