VTT Brings-in Deep-tech Incubator to Strengthen Industrial Renewal

VTT, a powerhouse of innovation, scientific research and technology launches a deep-tech incubator to create game-changing startups. The Launchpad offers solutions to life at accelerated rate by bringing together VTT-based research and the best business minds. VTT also serves the society by building companies that solve grand challenges, renew industries, and create sustainable growth.

Commenting on the launch, Antti Vasara, CEO, VTT, says, “VTT is the home of many of the most successful Finnish technology start-ups such as Dispelix, Spectral Engine, Spinnova, Paptic and Solar Foods. The new incubator builds on VTT’s research and spinoff expertise. It aims at bringing VTT’s research teams together with entrepreneurs and investors to renew industries”.

The incubator also invites tech-savvy entrepreneurs to join the research teams as entrepreneurs in residence, and it is looking for experienced mentors to support the science-driven entrepreneurship. The Launchpad will be presented at SLUSH on December 4^th and 5^th.
