Bangalore: Is MBA the only degree that will help you bag the top most position in any organization? If this is what you have been thinking before taking up an MBA, you should better have a look at some of the top CEOs of India who come without an MBA degree and still shinning bright. Around 60 percent of Indian CEOs don’t have what we consider as an essential- ‘The MBA Degree’.  Listed are top Indian CEOs without MBA.

AM Naik, Larsen & Toubro

Anil Manibhai Naik is the Chairman and Managing Director of Larsen & Toubro Limited, an Indian engineering multinational. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College in Vallabh Vidyanagar in Gujarat. After graduation, he went to Bombay with a note from his father introducing him to Viren J. Shah working in Mukand Iron & Steel Works Limited to apply for its engineering programme. Due to his lack of proficiency in English, the personnel manager had asked him to improve his English. So Mr. Naik started working on his English skills. In the meantime, he joined Nestler Boilers, which was a Parsi-owned firm.  He was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's 3rd highest civilian award in 2009. He also received the prestigious 'Economic Times Awards-Business Leader of the Year' award, for the year 2008 and in 2009 the top ten Business award.
