Shree Cement Net Profit Rises 267 percent to Rs.217 Cr

Bangalore: Shree Cement reported a whopping 267 per cent jump in net profit to 217.44 crore in the October-December quarter this fiscal on higher sales.

It had clocked 59.19 crore net profit during the same period last fiscal, the Kolkata-based firm said in a BSE filing.

Net sales of Shree Cement rose to 1,428 crore, as against 1,196 crore a year ago.

Cement business contributed 1,115 crore to the total sales, while the power segment contributed 449 crore.

The company scrip settled at 4,415.10 on the BSE, down 2.42 per cent over the previous close.
