1# Google: ($158.84 billion) U.S. search engine Google has overtaken rival technology titan Apple as the world’s top brand in terms of value, global market research agency Millward Brown said, reports PTI. Google topped the list of world’s most valuable brands this year. Google is a leader in cloud computing, bought Nest and owns Motorola, which help boosted up Motorola’s mobile sales.
“Google has been extremely innovative this year with Google Glass, investments in artificial intelligence and a range of partnerships,” said Benoit Tranzer, the head of Millward Brown France.
2 #Apple: ($147.88 billion) With this current ranking Apple slipped from its top position to second. The global player in the consumer electronics, computer hardware and software segment saw a dampened sale of its handsets in the tough market competition, given by other mobile companies. It has a very strong brand rating and customers relate this brand with reliability and trust. In a recent truffle over Samsung using Apple’s patent features in their handsets has cost Apple loss, worth millions.
