MSU to Launch Incubation Center to Support Startups
M S University is planning to set up Maharaja Sayajirao Incubation Startup and Entrepreneurship Centre (MSISEC). This initiative has been taken to provide state-of-the-art facilities to startup and innovators. 
Apart from the university and college students who reside in and around Vadodara, the center would be open for every individual those who are interested in venturing into entrepreneurship and are looking forward to giving life to their innovative business ideas. Alongside this, the university is also keen on providing physical space to begin their work for these emerging entrepreneurs, innovators, and startups who find it hard to acquire office space. The university is also intending to give other basic facilities like net access, web and data domains, mentoring, and activity support to the startups and innovators to boost their growth. 
Parimal Vyas, Vice-Chancellor Professor, MSU, told TOI, “I am happy to share that university’s syndicate body has sanctioned Rs 40 lakh for setting up the MSISEC, for which civil work will soon start at the Veer Savarkar Bhavan.” He continued, “MSISEC is being set up to provide all kinds of infrastructural, intellectual, and mentoring support to innovators as per guidelines of the Gujarat government."
Previously, the university had developed a center for startup and innovation, center for internship, center for incubation, center for career counseling, apprenticeship and mentorship. Also, they provide training and placement under the office of career advancement for students in October 2018.
However, the center for incubation has expanded its physical and virtual incubation to startups with the assistance acquired from various activities of startups. The centers have organized numerous awareness activities, workshops, events, webinars that promote the participation in state and national-level innovation competition.
