L&T Wins Multiple Orders for its Construction Arm
Infrastructure firm, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has affirmed that it's construction arm is receiving various orders across business segments in the domestic market. 
However, the company has not provided the value of the contracts. Yet, the range of the orders may significantly fall under the category ranging between 1,000 crore and 2,500 crore as per the classification of contracts. 
L&T also states that it's construction arm has secured several orders from some prestigious clients for its varied businesses. Furthermore, the company's buildings and factories business has secured a design-and-build order from a client in India to construct office space in two locations in Bangalore. This would be constructed on an area of two million square feet. Alongside L&T's water and effluent treatment business has received an order from Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Punjab through which surface-based bulk drinking water supply to Jalandhar town, Punjab, on a design, build, operate and transfer basis. 
L&T has announced that the project is part of the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme. Besides, L&T GeoStructure has been awarded projects in Katni district, Madhya Pradesh.
The company also states that the project duration could be for 36 months. The shares of L&T were trading 0.09 percent lower at 916.85 per piece on BSE. 
Lately, L&T's defense arm has received orders for the Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the company would be responsible for the supply of four regiments of Pinaka Weapon Systems. The contract includes the supply of Pinaka launchers, battery command posts, and associated engineering support package (ESP) for four regiments.  The orders fall under the significant division, which ranges between 1,000 crore and 2,500 crore according to the classification of contracts.
