Hatsun Agro's Q2 Net Profit Declines 28 Percent to Rs.9.66 Cr

New Delhi: Dairy products producer Hatsun Agro reported a 28 percent decline in its net profit to 9.66 crore for the quarter ended September 30.

The company had posted a net profit of 13.45 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a filing to the BSE.

The Chennai-based company posted net sales of 528.40 crore in the second quarter this fiscal compared to 393.09 crore in the
same quarter of 2011-12 fiscal.

The company has also announced an interim dividend of 0.80 (80 percent) per share for the 2012-13 fiscal, it said.

Hatsun will set up a 40 tonne curd plant at Dharmapuri district in Tamil Nadu, it added.

The company produces and markets dairy whitener, skimmed milk powder, ghee, butter, milk, curd, paneer, buttermilk among other dairy products.

It also exports dairy products to 38 countries in the American, Middle East and South East Asian markets.
