Google Fattens its Wallet with Stolen Credit Cards


BANGALORE: Are you worried about your stolen Credit Card or other Social Security number? Here’s an end to your worry. Google has found a way out to resolve your worries. Latest news revealed that it is easy–peasy to deal with your stolen credit card numbers or any private information through YouTube. Surprisingly, Google has made more than 1 billion with this idea, reports Business Insider.

Revealed in a report submitted by Digital Citizens (D.C.), Alliance that ads for retailers such as Target sometimes run alongside illegal videos that claim to sell any private data or stolen credit card numbers, out of which Google is making a lot of money.

Tom Galvin, executive director of the group and a D.C.-based public relations executive expressed that “Having this kind of stuff on a mainstream site like YouTube and having ads next to videos — ads for Target, MasterCard or Discover — could be very confusing to consumers.”

There is a wide recognition made previously about the moneymaking idea of Google from the videos that claims to sell stolen credit card or any kind of private info. The Alliance is upto spread awareness among the companies that advertise via Google about the concerned issue. Galvin said, “Raising their awareness to the problem and hopefully convincing them to urge Google to step up and take responsibility.”

It is not new that people are in a search of buying stolen financial information, but Galvin’s group explored multiple alleged sellers in large numbers. Now the question has been put up to the concerned Law Authorities, why they are not trolling these sites?

A spokeswoman told Gizmodo over the issue about flagging the videos “Company removes millions of videos each year that violate its policies, our guidelines prohibit any content encouraging illegal activities, including videos promoting the sale of illegal goods,” she said. “We also have stringent advertising guidelines, and work to prevent ads appearing against any video, channel or page once we determine that the content is not appropriate for our advertising partners.”

Though various other reports have been brought up but the thieves still seems to continue their business, they have cracks and they are making money, situation is confounding one, let’s see what YouTube can do to save its pride!
