Facebook Launches Timeline for Business


Bangalore: Facebook has announced that the companies and organizations that have brand pages on it, can not only get a new look and new features, but also will be able to update their pages using Facebook’s new Timeline.

Facebook executives held a FMC (Facebook Marketing Conference) event in New York addressing its business users that how Facebook has groomed its Brand pages and how the marketing concept is influenced by social media and networking.

“The power of the individual voice is not new. The difference now is that so many people can have a voice that scales… We believe that marketing will become truly social. Your customers are listening and your customers are talking. Engage them”, says Sheryl Sandberg, Chief Operating Officer, Facebook.

Facebook launched its own “facelift” of its Facebook brand page, by promoting on “The Today Show”. Other companies which are launching Timeline are 1-800 Flowers, the New York Times, Starbucks, American Idol, the NBA, and the brand Coldplay.
