Coming Soon: Flipkart's Big Billion Day 2

BANGALORE: The biggest Indian e-commerce player Flipkart has announced their 2nd Big Billion Day sale. If the reports from The Economic Times are to be believed, Flipkart has taken this decision to get rid of all the allegations that were put on it at the time of its first big billion day sale last year. Moreover Flipkart seems to enhance their customer satisfaction with full zest this time.

Although, the 1st Big Billion Day sale received many negative statements from all over the world, the Bansals revealed that the company achieved $100 million in sales within 10 hours and 1 billion website hits on this Big Billion Day sale.

According to Mukesh Bansal, chief executive of commerce at Flipkart, "We are again going to plan our Big Billion Day this year and for that support and scale is a big priority," reports The Economic Times. "Infrastructure and data centre to support scale, dealing with the transformation to mobile, and incorporating social shopping will be focus areas," added Bansal.

Earlier Flipkart's 'Big Billion Day' sale, which offered steep discounts on various products, raised concerns among small and big traders that such campaigns would badly affect players in the traditional retail market.
