4. Sheetal Bidaye
Sheetal Bidaye became the first female solo biker to reach the world's highest motorable pass, Marsimik La, and won a place in India's Limca book of records for her feat. Sheetal have been born and brought up in Pune and learnt to ride a bicycle, a luna, a moped, a scooter, a 100 cc motorcycle, and a Yamaha RD 350, all in the streets of Pune. Gradually her hobby for bike riding became her passion and she started covering short distance rides to Lonavala and then Goa and beyond. In bikespecifications.in sheetal states, “The Ladakh ride in June 2010, was an adventure a few get the chance to experience. Along with Marsimek La, I also went to other distant places. Rode on to Hanle, which is a small village on the south east of Ladakh, on the Chinese border. There, I climbed up a dilapidated fort and went up to an Observatory”.
