Bangalore: A team of 14 top corporate honchos have reinitiated to define corporate sustainability. They are among the world’s top business leaders who have lead the biggest and most reputed organizations around the globe, and the group is named as “The B Team”.

The B Team is a global nonprofit initiative co-founded by Sir Richard Branson and Jochen Zeitz that brings together international CEOs and business leaders to "make business work better." The “B” in The B Team represents the need for a “Plan B” for Business.

According to these leaders, the present way of doing business, i.e. chasing profits single mindedly is not healthy anymore. To change this concept, these leaders have come together and are moving with purpose. 1. Ratan Tata

The man behind the success of India’s biggest corporate house, chairman emeritus of the Tata Group, Ratan Tata hails from a family that greatly believes in philanthropy.

The Tatas have continued a practice to bestow much of their personal wealth to the many trusts they have created for the greater good of India and its people. The Tata trusts controls 66 percent of the shares of Tata Sons and the wealth collected from this asset chains an assortment of charity, institutions and individuals in every possible way.

Over the years Tata group has helped raise different underprivileged communities, along with scheduled caste and scheduled tribes, through initiatives like Tata Steel’s tribal welfare programmes and projects supported by the Tata trusts.
