Denmark
Denmark is sovereign state and a constitutional monarchy and it is a unitary state. It has the world’s highest level of income equality and is a mixed market economy with a large welfare state. It has seventh highest per capita income in the world and is also ranked as the happiest and the least corrupt country in the world. Denmark was listed 16th on the Human Development Index, 3rd on the Democracy Index and 2nd on the Corruption Perceptions Index in 2011. Danish taxation system is broad based with a 25 percent VAT, in addition to excise taxes, income taxes and other fees. They also have competitive company tax of 25 percent and limited tax regime for immigrants, the overall tax burden was 46 percent in 2011. The current GDP value is $310.4 billion.
