United States comprises of 50 states and a federal district and is considered as the federal constitutional republic. It has a capitalist mixed economy which has abundant natural resources, well developed infrastructure and high productivity. In terms of nominal GDP per capita it ranks ninth and in GDP per capita at PPP it ranks sixth. U.S. is the third largest exporter and the largest importer of goods even though their exports per capita are considerably low. Oil was the largest import commodity and transportation of equipments was the largest export of the country in 2011. At present their GDP sums up to $14.58 trillion.
