Vinod K. Dasari: He is the Managing Director of Ashok Leyland Limited and Director on board of the Ashok Leyland. The MD’s salary was unfortunately cut by 21 percent by the company since they reported huge losses and is in no hopes of writing over profits for the next quarter of the year. This debunk on his salary means he is taking home only 2.12 crores from this year. The company will have to do everything necessary to raise demands for their heavy duty products in order to clear off their debts and label profits once again.

Etienne Benet: The Managing Director of the Major FMCG Company, Etienne Benet, will complete a year of being the MD of the huge Company this year. Prior to this, Benet had held various high posts within the group but since his transferred as the MD in India, he draws a salary of 2.13 Crores. Being a foreigner and an Ex-CEO of the same company for West Africa, one would expect his annual salary to be higher instead he is one of the modestly paid MDs in India.

C. P. Gurnani: He is the CEO of Mahindra Satyam and also the Managing Director of Tech Mahindra, prior to which he was part of Tech Mahindra’s Global Operations. Leading one of the country’s largest conglomerate companies, Gurnani takes home an annual salary of 2.30 crores.

In the research conducted the CEOs with less pay are not looking for immediate gratification in terms of their payments but are looking for satisfaction that lasts in growing with a company.
