Xiaomi reigned high in 2014 by making a ground breaking profit of selling 61.12 million phones last year. The company managed to escape for getting banned in India after a case was filed against them by filed by Ericsson India in Delhi High Court. India is the second largest market for the company and is one of the fastest growing one in the smartphone industry.

Snapdeal made its appearance in the news room for quite a number of reasons. One of which is the case where a customer ordering a Samsung smartphone on Snapdeal and received a cake of dishwash soap. This controversy incident made big news on social media, where it was later reported that Snapdeal refunded the amount to the infuriated customer.
