The Startup City

It is said that good things come in small packages. There are over 800 startup companies in Bangalore alone. There are several others across India. If their number is an eyebrow raiser, the technologies they work on are a mindblower. The sad reality is that the larger pool of technology professionals have no clue of the innovation that happens in their own city!

Over the last few years, we have interacted with several startups. The management teams have shared with us their experience in building products, technology, brand, culture and of course, attracting bright talent. There is no doubt that startups are faced with a multitude of challenges in each of these.

In our endeavor to help the ecosystem, we are organizing The Startup City in Bangalore during the last week of May. Startups that hope to become tomorrow’s industry leaders will showcase the cutting edge technologies they are building and the best-of-breed solutions they have developed. They will also highlight the culture of innovation that thrives within their organization and the challenges they are tackling.

While building products has always been a challenge, one company is all set to change the rule of the game. Virginia-based GlobalLogic has been steering a new program to help companies launch their version1.0 product. We unfold this new concept in our cover story.

Please do let us know what you think.
