An MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur, Ramesh Gudalur, the newly appointed President-BPO at MphasiS, has over 20 years of experience in the manufacturing, consumer financial services, and BPO sector. During his career span, Gudalur has held key roles at GE, SRF Group, GENPACT, TCS BPO, ICICI OneSource, and more recently Cognizant. In all these companies his major role has been to start or re-align business and grow significantly.

Gudalur considers his stint at GE Capital as the turning point in his career. At GE Capital, he was responsible to create the Portfolio acquisition business with a view to accelerate the balance sheet. “This gave me an opportunity to create and since then I have enjoyed the process of creation and innovation,” says Gudalur. He was also a Six Sigma leader at GE Capital. In his new role at MphasiS, Gudalur’s biggest challenge is growing the company’s KPO business and raising the inflow of revenues through this channel.

Outside work, he loves teaching and spending time with the young teams at work and in campuses. “One must have client obsession. It opens up our minds for inter-personal relationships at work and builds our capabilities to the next level,” Gudalur advises the budding professionals.
