It's a known fact that Indian entrepreneurs are one of the back engines of Silicon Valley economy. Over the years they always continued to transform things around them and have created a better impact in the community to consider them as the best masters to lead a company. The best testimony is the recent appointment of Satya Nadella as the CEO of Microsoft, which disapproves of the common perception "Indians didn't know how to delegate authority and cannot lead companies". Not only are these Indian technocrats and serial entrepreneurs smart enough to lead the world's largest technology companies but are also capable enough to comfortably run parallel entrepreneurial ventures.

Currently the time is ripe for parallel entrepreneurship to create multiple companies at the same time, with deep strategic and operational involvement in both, rather than involvement only at the advisory level. It does not take much to kick start, we just need to follow our heart, the ideas and continue to build a good team of entrepreneurs rather than employees. The key is to know how to delegate and not get involved in the day-to-day operations everywhere so that you can hold on to the larger perspective. Unlike earlier days the lower infrastructure costs is also a blessing. Thanks to the changing business ecosystem and new technologies like Cloud computing that help in cutting down huge cheques for large corporations. With the power of new technologies SMAC- Social, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud Computing taking a new leap, the Indian entrepreneurs need to sharpen the arsenal to crack the huge opportunity in this space.

This issue, we present some compelling stories of few Indian entrepreneurs who have created innovative solutions in these new technologies and have created a dent in the industry. We have the story of TeamF1 which provides high-performance networking and security software solutions for connected devices and turnkey software solutions for the embedded systems market. With everyone now expecting to be connected everywhere, and with the all-pervasiveness of the cloud, Mukesh Lulla, CEO of TeamF1 has honed in on an audacious vision of a world where embedded smart appliances everywhere are reachable and not just reachable, but securely reachable with ease.

Moreover, we present to you siTech10 2014- 20 Most Promising Technology Companies in U.S. We could not have found a better time to announce 20 companies which are creating a buzz in the CIO circles and also moving ahead in the market. They are not only great in technology, but also dynamic to bring in business value.

We had deep discussions with as many as 100 U.S. based Indian entrepreneurs while producing this issue. The hallmark of all these entrepreneurs is a great passion for their startups and long-term commitment. We wish them all good luck and hope for great success ahead.
