After handling several diverse marketing portfolios for technology companies in his eight year long career in the U.S., in addition to four years in India, Raghunath Vijayaraghavan has moved to India recently and has taken over as the Marketing Director at BayTalkitec. Prior to this, he was working with Atmel and was involved in product marketing. At BayTalkitec, he will play a key role in growing the company’s Mobile VAS division and market the company’s innovative 2.5G and 3G VAS applications across geographies including the U.S., Singapore, Malaysia, and India.

Excited about his new role Vijayaraghavan says, “Having observed the boom in telecom sector in India, handling all the B2B and B2C requirements will be challenging. But at the same time I’m excited about being a part of a fast growing sector like mobile VAS and 3G in particular, which is poised to be the next big thing in India.”

Net savvy and an avid sportsman, Vijayaraghavan is passionate about cricket. While in the U.S. he represented the Cruisers Cricket Club in Northern California Cricket Association. Perhaps this is where he developed his ‘never say die attitude’, openness to new ideas, and aggressiveness in getting things done. He advises the same to young techies and tells them to be creative and also learn the business aspects of their work.
