Considering the significance of information security in the present times when everything has an online presence, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) is conducting awareness raising workshops on Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) for students, teachers, home users, and government non-IT professionals.
Backed by the Department of Information Technology, the program aims to create awareness on issues related to information security for the target audience.

Considering the need and growing importance of the information security, Department of IT, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India has formulated and initiated the ISEA program. CDAC Knowledge Park Centre is participating in the ISEA cause by conducting workshops at schools and government organizations in Karnataka. The presentations in the workshops include guidelines on various Internet security aspects as well as awareness on how cyber attacks happen and how one can be protected. CDAC Knowledge Park Centre initiated this program at Bangalore in June 2010 with support from its officials who have volunteered to spread the awareness by conducting ISEA workshops at schools and government departments.
