The government has chosen Bosch Security Systems to supply security systems for the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Following the Mumbai terror attacks last year, the demand for security systems drastically increased in India. Dhiraj Wali, Vice President, Bosch Security Systems says, “Traditionally, India has been very low in using security systems, but in the last few years, it has grown rapidly. The demand for the systems has increased both from the public and private sectors.”

The company is also expecting more orders from real estate developers, as the government is planning safety legislation for buildings requiring them to be certified fit for occupation. In 2008, Bosch generated revenue of Rs.100 crore from India, and expects to achieve the same target this year too, though the company reported a decline of 14.31 percent in the net profit in the second quarter ended June 30, 2009.
