Spime’s technology and solutions include NorthStar “ Widget Frame Work ”(WFW) which bundles location enabling component, complete turn-by-turn voice assisted Navigation (Onboard, Off-board & Hybrid) and seamless native connectivity to the contacts, address book, calendar, and email and SMS on the device. Widgets developed on top of the WFW automatically gets all the functionality mentioned above. Dow Jones selected Spime as one of the 70 upcoming innovative wireless startups in the US. Spime is on to its third year of operations has major operations at Silicon Valley-US, Chennai- India, Taipei-Taiwan, Singapore and plans to open offices in Europe in 2009. The company also has plans to launch a mobile commerce consumer solution through four telecom operators in the Asia-Pacific region, including India.
