Prior to his current posting, Sahai headed the marketing and corporate affairs departments. Also, before joining EMC, he held senior positions in various corporations. At Sun Microsystems, he held the position of Product Marketing Manager for South Asia. Sahai began his career at PowerTel Boca in sales, channels development, and management of enterprise accounts.
Sahai believes that the right combination of vision with business management and execution skill should be the mantra for a leader, besides building a team with the right attitude and skill-set. He advises the upcoming techies to evaluate his or her core competency level, which will help give a direction for their career.
Sahai is an active contributor to EMC's CSR programs that are focused on developing programs for children's education and also for needy communities in India. Outside work, Sahai enjoys playing squash, swimming, travelling with his family, and spending time with his kids.
