The server manufacturing major HP is hell-bent on strengthening its hold on the x86 server market in India. The company has introduced the new HP ProLiant G6 server line, whose advances in energy efficiency, virtualization, and automation are claimed to be exceptional.

The new release is available in 11 standards-based tower, rack, and blade platforms. Rajesh Dhar, Director, Industry Standard Servers, HP India Sales says, "Building on HP's long history of hardware and software development, G6 brings together the best HP innovations in energy efficiency, virtualization, and services to enable our customers to do more with less."

HP Sea of Sensors feature in the ProLiant G6 automatically track thermal activity across the server through a collection of 32 smart sensors that adjust the system components such as fans, memory, and input or output processing to optimize the system cooling and increase efficiency.
