An outdoors person, avid traveler, and a gaming enthusiast, Mohit Anand has joined Belkin Asia Pacific as its India Country Manager. Anand, who until recently spearheaded Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices Division in India, is an acknowledged expert in managing retail and media and entertainment partner relationships, and has been credited with successfully leading the Microsoft Hardware and Interactive Entertainment business, including the launch of Xbox 360, in the Indian sub-continent. A widely respected expert in the Indian gaming industry, Mohit is also one of the industry’s trade association’s founding members. At Microsoft he solely built the entertainment division in India to a Rs. 400 crore business. Prior to joining Microsoft, he worked with Iris Computers, Tangerine Informatique, and Dave Thomson Associates where he was responsible for building and driving the company’s sales and marketing operations.

With over 14 years of leadership experience in consumer technology and retail industry, Anand hopes to enhance visibility for the Belkin brand, increase consumer touch and experience across product lines, streamline and motivate distribution channels, and to increase the company’s market share overall in the rapidly growing CE and IT market in India.

Currently building his team, Anand says ‘persistence’ is what helps him succeed every time. “There is nothing beyond the human will. If one articulates a vision then only sky is the limit,” he says. He also believes that to be successful is no rocket science. ‘Work hard and play hard’ is what he advises young techies. Anand holds a Bachelors Degree in Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Systems Management.
