This latest lineup draws power from Sony's fourth generation Cognitive Processor XR, which leverages AI-based scene recognition to adjust brightness, contrast, and colour in real time. Its XR Contrast Booster deepens visual depth by carefully managing light intensity over more than 8 million self-emitting pixels, producing deep blacks, blinding highlights, and rich color reproduction The addition of Triluminos Max extends further colour volume for accurate, life-like images.
Bravia 8 II supports contemporary standards including 4K HDR, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos. It is also IMAX-Enhanced certified and has several 'Studio Calibrated' viewing modes optimized for Netflix, Prime Video, and Sony Pictures Core, for a creator-intent viewing experience. There is also 4K upscaling to enhance lower resolution content to near true 4K level clarity
A highlight audio feature is Acoustic Surface Audio+, which employs screen-mounted actuators to turn the screen into a speaker, together with built-in subwoofers to provide three-dimensional spatial sound. Tweeters integrated throughout the screen also support the experience by synchronizing audio precisely with visuals
The Bravia 8 II series is also tailored for gaming. It features Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), in addition to Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Motion Blur Reduction features that enhance gameplay without a hitch, particularly when combined with a PlayStation 5
Sony has launched these sets via its branded Sony Centres, Sony Exclusive stores, leading electronics retailers, and top e-commerce platforms in India
Overall, the Bravia 8 II QD-OLED line offers a high-end visual and audio experience, featuring Sony's newest AI-powered processing, high-end colour and contrast accuracy, immersive sound craftsmanship, and next-gen gaming innovations making it a premium option for viewers who want cinema-grade TV quality in their living rooms.
