IIT Delhi & LG Electronics Collaborate for Advanced Tech Innovation
IIT Delhi, through its Corporate Relations Office, has recently entered into a strategic collaboration with LG Electronics to drive research and innovation in advanced technology domains. Formalized by a Master Agreement, the partnership combines IIT Delhi’s academic excellence with LG’s technological expertise to develop transformative solutions in sustainable technologies, artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, and other emerging fields.
This partnership reinforces the dedication of both institutions towards developing influential research, enhancing industry-academia collaboration, and pushing technological horizons.
The partnership will involve eminent faculty members, such as Prof. Nitya Nand Goswami and Prof. Jayant Jain from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, working on material and corrosion research, and Prof. Ankit Singhal and Prof. Yashasvi Bansal from the Department of Electrical Engineering, working towards innovations in electrical technologies.
Delivering the address on the occasion, Prof. Preeti Ranjan Panda, Dean, Corporate Relations, IIT Delhi, said, "We at IIT Delhi are always working towards narrowing the gap between research in academia and industry implementation. The collaboration between IIT Delhi and LG Electronics is the best example of the collaborative vision of developing innovation that not only contributes to technological progress but also for society at large".
Seconding this view, Prof. Naresh Bhatnagar, the former Dean of Research and Development, IIT Delhi, further stated, "This partnership will facilitate significant research deliverables by combining IIT Delhi's interdisciplinary capabilities with LG's industrial excellence. We eagerly anticipate co-designing innovative solutions that will reshape the future of technology and sustainability".
