Sony's first Walkman phone was the W200 that released in 2007. The phone came with a dedicated Walkman key that enabled the music player and users could play MP3, MPEG-4, H263 audio on their phones as well as make calls and text. By 2009, Sony remodeled their Walkman to give tough fight against Apple’s iPod with 3-inch OLED screen and a touch interface. The NWZ-X1060 were available in two variants with 16GB and 32GB internal memory. The very device had been the face of the company and it had the endurance of up to 33 hours on music playback or 9 hours on video playback with fully charged battery.
