Sony Walkman NW-MS70D
In 2000s, Sony moved from Compact Discs to flash memory. By 2003, Walkman NW-MS70D made its debut that featured 256MB built-in flash memory and it also had a slot for memory expansion. The Digital Music Player NW-MS70D was a striking player with a dazzling array of rotating rings, knobs, and sliding controls. Although rotating rings and knobs were bit too complicated yet it delivered the best quality music experience.

Sony Walkman NW-HD1
Sony continued relying on flash memory and included the screen to ease down the difficulties of navigating songs. The Walkman NW-HD1 sported 20GB internal memory which was biggest storage space at the time of its debut. There were 2 screens that displayed the playlist and another displayed the name of the song played. Along with 2 screens, the music player had its own docking port just like iPod and it been the flagship device for Sony in 2004.
