Samsung Launches Galaxy XCover7 Rugged Smartphone in India
Samsung has unveiled its rugged XCover series of smartphones in India with the debut of the Galaxy XCover7, targeting exclusive availability for enterprise use. This newest addition to Samsung's rugged smartphone lineup boasts military-grade durability, 5G connectivity, and the most up-to-date software experience.
The standout feature of the Samsung Galaxy XCover7 is its MIL-STD-810H certification for military-grade durability. Constructed with materials like rubber to enhance shock absorption, the device's body is reinforced, while its display is safeguarded by fortified glass. Additionally, the smartphone boasts an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and is capable of enduring drops of up to 1.5 meters.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover7 is powered by an octa-core processor with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot which can accept memory cards with up to 1 TB capacity. The smartphone has a 6.6-inch FHD+ resolution screen with a 60Hz refresh rate with support for enhanced touch sensitivity, where the display can even register touch input from a leather glove.
Equipped with a 50 MP primary camera and a 5 MP selfie camera, the phone is powered by a user-removable 4,500 mAh battery, featuring a USB-C port and pogo pins for connecting an external battery pack for charging. It includes a physical SIM card slot and eSIM support alongside Samsung Knox Vault security features. The Samsung Galaxy XCover7 will come in two versions, with the standard variant priced at Rs 27,208 and the enterprise model at Rs 27,530.
