Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in international markets, including India. This significant release in 2024 by the South Korean electronics giant also highlights its partnership with Google to integrate Gemini into the Galaxy S24 series. The AI-powered Galaxy S24 lineup is set to rival the Google Pixel 8, Pixel Pro, and Apple iPhone 15 series. Featuring the integrated Google Gemini Nano, the Galaxy S24 series will offer built-in capabilities such as native summarization, a circular search function, advanced photo editing tools, Google Messages, Magic Compose, and Android Auto. Additionally, the new Galaxy S24 lineup will provide live call translation in 13 languages. Running on One UI 6.1 with Android 14 as its base, the Galaxy S24 series ensures a seamless experience. Samsung has committed to delivering 7 years of software and OS support for the Galaxy S24 series phones.
The Galaxy S24 gets a 6.2-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a variable?refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. It has a 4,000mAh battery and can support 25W wired charging. Galaxy S24 features a 50MP main lens, supported by a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto sensor. It has a 12MP front camera. Similarly, the Galaxy S24+ ships with a 6.7-inch QHD+ display having similar refresh rates to the S24. It has been loaded with a 4,900mAh battery and can support 45W wired charging. Power Adapter and data cable will be sold separately in all the devices.
In terms of camera specifications, the Galaxy S24+ shares a comparable optical setup with the Galaxy S24. Both models, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+, are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in specific regions, while Indian variants will feature the Exynos 2400 SoC. The Galaxy S24 boasts 8GB of RAM and offers storage options of up to 512GB, while the Galaxy S24+ starts with 12GB of RAM and provides up to 512GB of internal storage.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung has provided a 5,000mAh battery in Ultra that can support 45W wired charging but is sold separately. Galaxy S24 Ultra is the first-ever Galaxy phone to feature a Titanium frame. In optics, the Galaxy S24 Ultra features a 200MP main camera along with a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a 10MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. The front camera is 12MP.
Galaxy S24 Ultra is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 coupled with 12GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The Galaxy S24 series phones are IP68-rated as well. For Indian buyers, the Galaxy S24 will start at Rs 79,999 for 8GB/256GB. The 8GB/512GB model will sell for Rs 89,999. The Galaxy S24+ will start at Rs 99,999 for 12GB/256GB. The 12GB/512GB version retails for Rs 1,09,999. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will begin at Rs 1,29,999 for 12GB/256GB. The 12GB/512GB model will be available at Rs 1,39,999 and the 12GB/1TB variant for Rs 1,59,999.
