Samsung Galaxy Gets Huge Price Cut
Bangalore: Samsung’s flagship Android, Galaxy S III had received a 25 percent price cut in the New Year. Followed by its launch in May 2012, the first major price slash was to
34,900 in September. Currently after the second reduction, the world’s best selling gadget is available at
30,490 on the internet. The official prices stated for the 16 and 35GB version devices are
32,540 and 35,600 each.
Even though the device is priced at
32,000 in the Indian e-commerce Market, Tradus seems to sell it for
30,490 which is the least after India Times Shopping and Flipkart’s offer for
31,900.

HTC One X which is the rival of Samsung Galaxy S III has a relatively lower price of
30, 749 on the online sites. Apple iPhone 5, another rival, which was launched in November, is priced between
45,500 and
59,000 and its previous version, a year and a half old iPhone 4 S is being sold at
37,500.
Apart from Galaxy S III, other versions such as Galaxy S II and Galaxy S Duos have faced similar price cuts. Though the official price is
25,900, Galaxy S II is sold at
22,990 on the online retailers. Galaxy Note is also available at
25,500. Galaxy S Duos, a dual-sim Android device originally launched in September, is being sold at a reduced price of
14,300 though being priced at
15,200.
