With increasing concern on gadgets and its detrimental effect on the environment Micromax has woken its environment conscious side by launching a new eco-friendly smartphone X259 which has an in-built solar back panel that charges the phone using solar energy. This eco-friendly phone comes with a price tag of just
2,499.
The dual-SIM X259 has a 2.4-incg QVGA with a resolution of 240 X 320 pixels. The phone has a 0.3 mega pixel rear camera and runs on a 1000 mAh battery which is charged via solar energy.
The phone has been designed basically keeping in mind the rural India where the power supply is very irregular. According to the Company the phone only needs three hours of charging and the device will provide the user with up to 1.5 hours of talk time.
