Bangalore: The latest line of GeForce graphics processing units (GPUs) present in 200 products from NVIDIA will come combined with Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs in 2011 from PC manufacturers.
The manufacturers include Acer, Alienware, ASUS, Dell, Fujitsu-Siemens, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba and others who will incorporate the design in products like notebooks and desktop systems.
Mercury Research had forecast bright hopes for the GPU market. Based on the current attach rate for GPU shipments, Mercury Research forecasts that discrete GPU shipments will double between 2009 and 2014."
According to NVIDIA, computer makers are coming for NVIDIA GeForce GPUs to get high level performance. This is not possible with integrated graphics for several applications like games and 3D movies. Together the Sandy Bridge CPUs and GeForce GPUs collaborate to give advanced features and increased compatibility for latest PC games.
