Now print pictures with your palm sized printer


Bangalore: Symbolein Technologies, a product design and development company has designed a palm sized printer that allows you to print pictures on any surface with ease. The printer which weighs about 350g is compatible with samrtphones, laptops, and personal computers. The device is based on the Random Movement Printing technology, which was invented by Alex Breton, a Sweden based serial enterpreneur and founder of Print Dreams. The printer is made of 340 mechanical parts which consists of a high-end micro controller, memory card, cartridge and a field programmble gate array. The device is when brushed forward and backward with permissible tilting of 15 to 20 percent starting from left side of the surface, prints images within a print area of 4x6. The research is still in progress to expand the print area to A4 size. Vinod Menon, CEO of Symbolein Technologies told that the tiny gadget would change the dynamics of the photo and print industry as sales of the device is expected to be 20 percent of the total global printer market. Vinod also said that the palm printer was mainly targeting the youth and that it had many potential investors bidding for it. The printer is eco-friendly and accounts about 2 percent of world energy consumption.
