Nokia's First Android Phone 'Normandy' To Be Released In 2014
Disagreeing with the reports about a Nokia Android phone, Stephen Elop, the former CEO of Nokia had stated in July that the company took the apt decision by selecting Windows phone over Android. So far it’s not clear whether the alleged Normandy Android phone will come to existence as Nokia has recently sold off its entire handset business to Microsoft.
It will be exciting to see if Nokia can make public its gossiped Android phone in advance to Microsoft contract. After making an agreement with Microsoft, Nokia could neither permit the Nokia brand for use with respect to the mobile device sales nor use the brand on its own mobile devices for a definite time. Besides, Microsoft has given nod to a 10-year license arrangement with Nokia to utilize the brand on recent and later developed mobile phones.
