Nokia's First Android Phone 'Normandy' To Be Released In 2014
Bangalore: Nokia, which has been endorsing the Windows Phone platform, is deemed to be on the verge of releasing an Android phone, if the details are to be believed.
According to The Verge, the well known handset maker has been working on its first low-end Android venture, codenamed ‘Normandy’, using forked version of the Google code and is anticipated to be in the market in 2014. Following the paths of its competitors, Nokia is working on a completely modified or pronged version of Android, similar to the software that Amazon utilizes for its Kindle Fire tablets.
The gossiped new Android phone from Nokia is believed to be aimed at the inexpensive section as an alternative for the Asha Smartphone with more apps like Skype.
One tipster declares that work on the Normandy is “full breath to the fore” and that Nokia employees have been told to anticipate the Normandy launch to descend in 2014.
