MWC 2015: 7 New Launches At A Glance
# Splitting up Google Plus
After ending the lifespan of Google’s social portal, orkut, there were many speculations about how the company will maintain its place in social media. At MWC, the internet giant made it clear that instead of killing Google+, it would be divided into several sub projects.
At present, Google Plus has various things that come bundled along with it. Things such as Hangouts and Photos to name a few have evolved on their own and have created their own place. Nonetheless, these will be internal changes and not much will be reflected on the user front.
# Google PAY
Google already has Google Wallet, which make use of credit card in order to pay for Android applications. Now, further improving the payment platform, the company now plans to open its payment platform to developers.
They have always followed the open approach with each of its product. The developers can use Application Programming Interface (API) and develop their own versions. Just like in case of Android Material design API, Google will make the pay API available to public later this year.
