LCD Television: Sony is Preferred

In LCD TV category Sony leads this segment with 47 percent market share followed by Toshiba and Samsung as runner-ups. All these three brands collectively make around 89 percent of market share. The Sony Bravia KDL 32CX520 is the most popular brand the LCD TV segment and Delhi tops the LCD TV segment followed by Bangalore and Chennai as second and third respectively.

LED Television: Cat Fight between Samsung and Sony

In LED segment Samsung is the most popular brand and the Sony takes second position. Samsung and Sony together dominate the LED market with 95 percent of all transitions. The Samsung 40D5000 is the most preferred television set in India while Sony dominates the 3D LED TV segment with about 73 percent market shares. Bangalore again leads as the top city that purchased LED TVs.
