Micromax Launches Canvas Spark 2, its Cheapest 3G Smartphone


sdBENGALURU: Micromax has proved itself by producing Smartphone at a cheaper price amongst other worthy opponents. Micromax Canvas Spark 2 is yet another launch in an attempt to break price barriers for driving Smartphone adoption in India and empowering the average Indian consumer with Smartphone and mobile Internet access, according to dnaindia.com.

Micromax has unveiled its Canvas Spark 2 with an aim to increase the usage of Smartphone and internet, launched under its Canvas series. Dubbed as Canvas Spark 2, the phone has been termed as “India ka 3G phone” for being user friendly and economical at the same time. The Canvas Spark 2 will be exclusively available on Snapdeal, and the first flash sale will be conducted on September 30.

However, the registrations for the first sale will kick off on September 23 at 10:00AM. Micromax Canvas Spark 2 featuring a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display, which runs on a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor coupled with 4GB internal memory and expandable up to 32 GB via microSD. Coming with Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box, the Canvas Spark 2 features a 1800 mAh battery that offers up to 324 hours of backup on standby mode.

This comes with a Dual SIM capability, a 5MP FF rear camera and a 2MP FF front camera that comes with a variety of functions like the face beauty mode for improving the snaps you click with this phone. On the connectivity front, there's Bluetooth 4.0, USB and Wi-Fi. The phone comes with a set of accessories such as charger, data cable, earphones and screen protector.

While the Canvas Spark 2 is an affordable 3G Smartphone, it will face tough competition from the likes of Yu Yunique, Phicomm Energy 653 and Lenovo A2010, all of which are 4G LTE-equipped Smartphone’s that cost just Rs 1,000 more.
