Know What Future Holds for Smartphones
A War of Smartphones this Fall?
The big four- Apple, Google, RIM and Microsoft, and their struggle of dominance in the market has been an eternal one. Apple with its revolutionary products has always been the market leader and removing it from its throne has become quite a task for the other three. Apple has always had the advantage of Grade A quality hardware and a highly developed operating system.
Off late Google’s Android is slowly but surely climbing up the ladder to the number one spot and in the U.S. Market Google leads the market race with 51 percent shares and iPhone has only a 32 percent control. Only time will tell if Google can hold onto their spot because Apple is planning to launch its iPhone 5 and if rumors are to be believed, the launch of iPad Mini in also on the verge.
The major drawback Google’s Android face is its slow and fragmented development which occurs because the manufactures and the carriers test and slowly release the updates to certain select phones. Even though Google has come up with a new update in the form of Jelly Bean it isn’t huge enough to make a huge difference in the smartphone market.
Apple and Google have their feet firmly on the ground and all they need to do is innovate, the same isn’t the case with Microsoft and RIM, the next few months will be seen as a battle to survive in this competitive smartphone market. They will have to fight hard to survive as well as ward of the stiff competition in the form of Apple and Google.
